Privacy Policy

Silent Book is a calm reading app. We collect as LITTLE data as possible: your books, reading positions and settings live on your device first.

Silent Book is provided by Islomjon Saminjon o'g'li Xudoyberdiyev (IX Studio), an individual developer ("we", "us").

What we collect

• Anonymous usage ping — daily activity (date, app version, interface language). It does not identify you; used to improve the app.
• Anonymous account — on first launch the app creates an anonymous identifier (no name, phone or password asked).
• Device fingerprint (hash) — the referral system stores an irreversible SHA-256 hash of the device identifier for fraud prevention. It cannot identify you or your device.
• Cloud backup — your library's memory (reading progress, ratings, your own reviews and marks, collections, coins, settings and, if set, your profile name and photo) is stored on our server. It is uploaded when you tap "Back up now", and once a day by itself only after you have signed in with Google. Without that sign-in nothing is uploaded, and only you can read your backup.
• Google sign-in (optional) — linking Google to restore backups on a new phone attaches only your email address to your account.
• Readers' corner — only a Google-linked account can take part. If you do, we store the public profile you choose (a nickname, an avatar letter, your medals and reading minutes), the comments you write on Market books and the likes you give. Nickname, comments and likes are visible to every reader of that book. Readers you block and comments you report are stored too, so the app can hide them for you and so a reported comment can be reviewed (see "Readers' corner and moderation" in the Terms).
• Support center — questions you type to the assistant are sent to our server and answered with Google Gemini. A problem or an idea is written to us by e-mail from the support page; the app itself no longer sends reports, and your letter is kept only as long as it takes to answer it.
• Problem reports — when something inside the app fails, the app writes down the error text, the frames of code it happened in, the app version, the phone's operating system and the interface language, and sends it to us so the fault can be fixed. Storage paths and web addresses are stripped out first, so no book title, file name, page address or text you read is ever included. You can read every report the app has kept, and turn sending off, in Profile → Problem reports.
• Purchases — to confirm a purchase we send Google Play's purchase token, order number, product name and purchase time to our server and keep them, so the purchase can be checked with Google and credited only once; for a subscription we also keep the expiry date and renewal state Google reports. We never receive your card details.
• S Coin gifts — when you give S Coin to a creator, we record the gift under your account and the creator's: the amount, the work it was for, the time and the message you add, if any. Only an account linked to Google can give or receive S Coin.
• Voice recordings (SB Studio) — when you record a book in your own voice, the takes are saved in the app's private storage on your phone. They leave it only if you yourself turn on the Premium option "Check each take with AI" in the prompter's AI menu — it is off by default and the app tells you what is sent before it turns on. Each take is then sent once to our server and passed to Google Gemini to be transcribed so the app can show the words that were missed. We do not store the audio; the microphone is used only on the prompter screen while the red button is showing.
• The manhwa and manga petition (this website) — if you sign the petition on its page, we keep the e-mail address you type and, if you add it, your name, together with the language of the form and, when you came from the app, which room you came from. The address is kept only so that one person counts as one signature: we never sell it, never use it for advertising and do not write to it. Rights holders are shown the number of signatures, never the addresses. Your network address is not stored: to keep the count honest the server keeps an irreversible keyed hash of it with a number per day, and drops it after 14 days. A signature is not tied to an app account.
• Title requests — when you ask for a title in the app's Manhwa or Manga room, we store under your account the title, where it can be found if you say so, which of the three offers you want, your note if any, and the app's language. Only we read these requests; they are deleted with your account.

AI services and Google Gemini

• These features send text, a picture or audio to our server and on to Google Gemini:
  • the support assistant — your question;
  • translation — the paragraphs of the chapter you choose, or the picture of a comic page;
  • smart genres (Premium) — the title, the author and a short excerpt from the first page of a library book that has no genre yet;
  • Studio pictures — your description and the reference pictures you attach;
  • the Studio AI tools — the prompter lines for "tidy the lines", the scene descriptions and speech bubbles of the pages so far and your character cards for the scenario helper, and one take's audio for the opt-in take check described above.
  Each runs when you ask, except smart genres: for a Premium reader they sort books without a genre by themselves, a few at a time, when the Library opens. We do not store what was sent beyond answering the request. The one exception is a Premium creator's generated pictures, which are kept in the creator's own private cloud folder.
• AI voicing (the Market and Library "read aloud with AI" service) sends only the text you choose to have read aloud to our server, where the audio is generated for you.
• We are confirming with Google the terms under which text and audio sent to Gemini through our account are processed and whether Google may use them to improve its services. Until this page says otherwise, please assume that Google processes what you send under its own API terms.

Ads

• The only ad in Silent Book is a rewarded video you choose to watch for coins. It is served by Google AdMob from our own AdMob account; the "Watch an ad" buttons are shown only when this build can serve ads. We cap ad content at the PG rating.
• When you watch a rewarded ad, the ad carries your anonymous Silent Book id so that Google can confirm the finished view to our server (server-side verification). Nothing else about you is added; only such confirmed views credit coins, and only to an account linked to Google.
• The Google Mobile Ads SDK starts with the app. According to Google's own disclosure it may collect your advertising ID, your IP address (from which an approximate location is derived), your interactions with ads and diagnostic data about the SDK, and use them to serve and measure ads. You can reset or delete the advertising ID in Android settings.
• In the European Economic Area, the United Kingdom and Switzerland the app asks for your consent through Google's consent form before the first ad is requested; you can change your choice at any time in Profile → Ad privacy options (shown where the law requires it). Outside those regions the advertising ID is used for rewarded ads without a consent step.

Payments

• Purchases (coin packs, S Coin packs, Premium subscription) go through Google Play — we never see your card details. What we keep to confirm a purchase is listed above under "Purchases".
• Premium subscriptions are handled by Google Play. Your phone keeps whether Google Play last confirmed your subscription and whether it renews; it keeps only a one-way hash of the purchase token, never the token itself. After you cancel in Google Play, Premium stays on until the end of the current period, as Google Play reports it.

Marks inside your books

• When you mark a line, write a note, choose a feeling, answer another reader, or leave a word for the next reader, that text is saved inside the book file on your device (for EPUB, DOCX and fb2.zip books, in an added silentbook-marks.json entry; for other formats, in a small file beside the book). It is never uploaded to us.
• If you then share that book file with someone, your marks, your notes, your feelings, your answers, your profile name and your message travel inside the file. Anyone who opens it in Silent Book can read them — and can delete any of them, for everyone who receives the file after them.
• Sharing is always your own action. A book you keep to yourself keeps its marks to itself.

The Market's library browser

• The browser inside the Market opens only the curated free libraries listed there (Project Gutenberg, Standard Ebooks, Internet Archive, Open Library, Wikisource, Ziyouz, ManyBooks) and their documented download hosts, over https only; any other address is refused in the app and can only be handed to your phone's browser. It downloads book files only (EPUB, FB2, TXT, PDF) and checks each file's signature before importing it.
• The app itself keeps no record of which pages you open there. It only counts how many times each library or store was opened from the Market and how many books came from it — a number per site and day, with nothing about you or the page — and tags the address it opens with the app's name, so the site's own statistics can tell readers who came from Silent Book. Those sites' own cookies stay in the phone's web view and leave with the app. The sites are not under our control; what they collect is governed by their own policies. If a library's secure connection fails, a problem report names the library by its catalog id only, never the address.
• Partner sites (optional). If you take a one-time code in the app and type it on a partner site, that site receives an anonymous reader id created for it, whether your Premium is active, and the discount agreed with it — never your e-mail, your name or the app's account id. The code lives ten minutes and works once; the link is removed with your account.

What we do NOT collect

• Your books and their text are never uploaded, except for the parts the features above need: the text you have voiced by AI, the chapter or comic page you translate, the title, author and first-page excerpt smart genres read, and the lines, descriptions and take audio the Studio's AI tools use. They go to our server and, for everything but AI voicing, on to Google Gemini.
• No contacts, no precise location, no call data. The only location-like data is the approximate location the ads SDK derives from your IP address, described under "Ads".
• No microphone use outside the Studio prompter, and no recording is ever uploaded unless you switch the AI take check on yourself.
• Your marks, notes, feelings and reviews are never published and never shown to anyone. They stay in the book file on your device; the only copy that leaves it is inside your own backup, described above.
• No record of your browsing in the Market's library browser.

Data deletion and what remains

Delete your account and all data yourself in the app: Profile → Data & storage → Delete account (immediate; the app then stays offline until you sign in again or start a new anonymous account). Details, what is kept, and an e-mail fallback: delete-account.html. E-mail requests to ixstudiosupport@gmail.com are completed within 30 days.

After an account deletion we keep only: problem reports the app sent, with the account number removed; download counters of Market books, without the account number; an irreversible hash of the device, so the same device cannot claim an invite reward again (fraud prevention); and purchase records (the Google Play token, order number and product), no longer linked to any account, so the same purchase cannot be credited twice. Everything else — backup, profile, comments, likes, blocks, reports, the S Coin gifts you gave or received and their messages (a gift you gave is deleted for the creator too), voicing orders and their files, invite progress, support messages, usage pings — is deleted.

A petition signature is not part of any account, so deleting an account does not remove it. To remove it, write to us from the address you signed with; it is deleted within 30 days.

When you delete your account, this phone erases your coins, Premium time, coin-bought theme and feature unlocks and 7-day rentals, settings and statistics; your books — imported, scanned from your storage, and prepared voiced books — together with their marks and your reading progress stay on the phone unless you tick the option to erase them too.

Uninstalling the app removes all local data on the device but does not delete the cloud account. Silent Book asks Android not to include it in system backup or phone-to-phone transfer, so the system keeps no copy of your library, coins or settings in Google Drive. Outside the phone we hold only what this policy lists above.

Silent Book — приложение спокойного чтения. Мы собираем как можно МЕНЬШЕ данных: ваши книги, позиции чтения и настройки живут прежде всего на вашем устройстве.

Silent Book предоставляет Islomjon Saminjon o'g'li Xudoyberdiyev (IX Studio), индивидуальный разработчик («мы»).

Что мы собираем

• Анонимный сигнал использования — дневная активность (дата, версия приложения, язык интерфейса). Вас не идентифицирует; служит для улучшения приложения.
• Анонимный аккаунт — при первом запуске создаётся анонимный идентификатор (имя, телефон и пароль не запрашиваются).
• Отпечаток устройства (хеш) — система приглашений хранит необратимый SHA-256-хеш идентификатора устройства для защиты от мошенничества. По нему нельзя опознать вас или устройство.
• Облачная копия — память библиотеки (прогресс чтения, оценки, ваши отзывы и пометки, коллекции, монеты, настройки и, если заданы, имя/фото профиля) хранится на нашем сервере. Она уходит туда по кнопке «Резервная копия» и раз в сутки сама — только после входа через Google. Без этого входа ничего не загружается, и читать копию можете только вы.
• Вход через Google (необязательно) — привязка Google для восстановления копий на новом телефоне добавляет к аккаунту только ваш адрес электронной почты.
• Читательский уголок — участвовать может только аккаунт, привязанный к Google. Если вы участвуете, мы храним выбранный вами публичный профиль (ник, букву аватара, медали и минуты чтения), комментарии к книгам Маркета и поставленные лайки. Ник, комментарии и лайки видны каждому читателю этой книги. Заблокированные вами читатели и комментарии, на которые вы пожаловались, тоже сохраняются — чтобы приложение скрывало их для вас и чтобы жалобу можно было рассмотреть (см. «Читательский уголок и модерация» в Условиях).
• Центр поддержки — вопросы помощнику отправляются на наш сервер и получают ответ через Google Gemini. О проблеме или идее вы пишете нам по почте со страницы поддержки; само приложение больше не отправляет обращений, а письмо хранится ровно столько, сколько нужно для ответа.
• Отчёты о сбоях — когда что-то внутри приложения ломается, оно записывает текст ошибки, участок кода, версию приложения, систему телефона и язык интерфейса и отправляет нам, чтобы поломку можно было починить. Пути к файлам и веб-адреса вырезаются заранее, поэтому ни название книги, ни имя файла, ни адрес страницы, ни прочитанный вами текст туда не попадают. Все сохранённые отчёты можно прочитать, а отправку — выключить: Профиль → Отчёты о сбоях.
• Покупки — чтобы подтвердить покупку, мы отправляем на наш сервер токен покупки, номер заказа, название товара и время покупки, полученные от Google Play, и храним их — так покупка проверяется у Google и засчитывается только один раз; для подписки мы также храним дату окончания и состояние продления, которые сообщает Google. Данные карты мы не получаем.
• Подарки S Coin — когда вы дарите S Coin автору, мы записываем подарок в вашем аккаунте и в аккаунте автора: сумму, работу, за которую он сделан, время и ваше сообщение, если оно есть. Дарить и получать S Coin может только аккаунт, привязанный к Google.
• Голосовые записи (SB Studio) — когда вы записываете книгу своим голосом, дубли сохраняются в закрытом хранилище приложения на телефоне. Они покидают его, только если вы сами включите Premium-опцию «Проверять каждый дубль с AI» в меню AI суфлёра — по умолчанию она выключена, и перед включением приложение говорит, что именно отправляется. Тогда каждый дубль один раз отправляется на наш сервер и передаётся Google Gemini для расшифровки, чтобы приложение показало пропущенные слова. Аудио мы не храним; микрофон работает только на экране суфлёра, пока показана красная кнопка.
• Петиция о манхве и манге (этот сайт) — если вы подписываете петицию на её странице, мы храним адрес электронной почты, который вы вводите, и, если вы его указали, имя, а также язык формы и — если вы пришли из приложения — из какой комнаты. Адрес хранится только затем, чтобы один человек считался одной подписью: мы его не продаём, не используем для рекламы и не пишем на него. Правообладателям показывается число подписей, но не адреса. Ваш сетевой адрес не хранится: чтобы счёт оставался честным, сервер держит его необратимый хеш с ключом и число за день и удаляет их через 14 дней. Подпись не связана с аккаунтом приложения.
• Запросы тайтлов — когда вы просите тайтл в комнате «Манхва» или «Манга» в приложении, мы сохраняем в вашем аккаунте название, где его можно найти (если вы это указали), какое из трёх предложений вам нужно, вашу заметку, если она есть, и язык приложения. Эти запросы читаем только мы; они удаляются вместе с аккаунтом.

AI-сервисы и Google Gemini

• Эти функции отправляют текст, картинку или аудио на наш сервер и далее в Google Gemini:
  • помощник поддержки — ваш вопрос;
  • перевод — абзацы выбранной вами главы или картинка страницы комикса;
  • умные жанры (Premium) — название, автор и короткий отрывок с первой страницы книги из библиотеки, у которой ещё нет жанра;
  • картинки Studio — ваше описание и приложенные вами картинки-образцы;
  • AI-инструменты Studio — строки суфлёра для «Привести строки в порядок», описания сцен и реплики уже готовых страниц и карточки персонажей для помощника по сценарию, а также аудио одного дубля для описанной выше добровольной проверки.
  Каждая срабатывает по вашему запросу, кроме умных жанров: у читателя с Premium они сами разбирают книги без жанра, по нескольку за раз, когда открывается Библиотека. Мы не храним отправленное дольше, чем нужно для ответа. Единственное исключение — созданные картинки автора с Premium: они хранятся в его личной закрытой папке в облаке.
• AI-озвучка (сервис «прочитать с AI» в Маркете и Библиотеке) отправляет на наш сервер только тот текст, который вы сами выбрали; там для вас создаётся аудио.
• Мы уточняем у Google, на каких условиях обрабатываются текст и аудио, отправленные в Gemini через наш аккаунт, и может ли Google использовать их для улучшения своих сервисов. Пока на этой странице не сказано иное, считайте, что Google обрабатывает отправленное по своим условиям API.

Реклама

• Единственная реклама в Silent Book — видео с вознаграждением, которое вы сами выбираете смотреть за монеты. Его показывает Google AdMob из нашего аккаунта AdMob; кнопки «Смотреть рекламу» показываются только когда эта сборка может показать рекламу. Содержание рекламы ограничено рейтингом PG.
• Когда вы смотрите видео с вознаграждением, объявление несёт ваш анонимный идентификатор Silent Book, чтобы Google мог подтвердить просмотр нашему серверу (серверная проверка). Больше ничего о вас не добавляется; монеты начисляются только за такие подтверждённые просмотры и только аккаунту, привязанному к Google.
• SDK Google Mobile Ads запускается вместе с приложением. • В странах ЕЭЗ, Великобритании и Швейцарии приложение запрашивает ваше согласие через форму Google до первого запроса рекламы; изменить выбор можно в любой момент: Профиль → Настройки конфиденциальности рекламы (пункт показывается там, где этого требует закон). За пределами этих регионов рекламный идентификатор используется для рекламы за монеты без отдельного шага согласия.

Платежи

• Покупки (наборы монет, наборы S Coin, подписка Premium) проходят через Google Play — данные вашей карты нам не видны. Что мы храним для подтверждения покупки, перечислено выше в пункте «Покупки».
• Подписками Premium управляет Google Play. Телефон хранит факт последнего подтверждения подписки Google Play и то, продлевается ли она; он хранит лишь одностороннее хеш-значение токена покупки — никогда сам токен. После отмены в Google Play Premium действует до конца текущего периода, как сообщает Google Play.

Пометки внутри ваших книг

• Когда вы отмечаете строку, пишете заметку, выбираете чувство, отвечаете другому читателю или оставляете слово следующему, этот текст сохраняется внутри файла книги на вашем устройстве (для EPUB, DOCX и fb2.zip — в добавленной записи silentbook-marks.json, для остальных форматов — в маленьком файле рядом с книгой). Нам он не передаётся.
• Если вы затем отправите этот файл книги кому-то, ваши пометки, заметки, чувства, ответы, имя профиля и сообщение уедут внутри файла. Любой, кто откроет его в Silent Book, сможет их прочитать — и удалить любую из них для всех, кто получит файл после него.
• Отправка — всегда ваше собственное действие. Книга, которую вы никому не передаёте, хранит пометки при себе.

Браузер библиотек в Маркете

• Браузер внутри Маркета открывает только подобранные бесплатные библиотеки из его списка (Project Gutenberg, Standard Ebooks, Internet Archive, Open Library, Wikisource, Ziyouz, ManyBooks) и их задокументированные хосты загрузки, только по https; любой другой адрес отклоняется в приложении и может быть передан только браузеру телефона. Он загружает только книжные файлы (EPUB, FB2, TXT, PDF) и проверяет сигнатуру каждого файла перед импортом.
• Само приложение не хранит, какие страницы вы там открываете. Оно лишь считает, сколько раз каждая библиотека или магазин были открыты из Маркета и сколько книг оттуда пришло — число на сайт и день, без данных о вас и о странице, — и помечает открываемый адрес именем приложения, чтобы статистика самого сайта видела читателей, пришедших из Silent Book. Собственные cookie этих сайтов остаются в веб-компоненте телефона и удаляются вместе с приложением. Сайты не контролируются нами; что они собирают, определяют их собственные политики. Если защищённое соединение с библиотекой не удалось, отчёт о проблеме называет библиотеку только по идентификатору в каталоге, никогда — по адресу.
• Сайты-партнёры (по желанию). Если вы возьмёте в приложении одноразовый код и введёте его на сайте-партнёре, этот сайт получит созданный для него анонимный идентификатор читателя, статус Premium и согласованную с ним скидку — никогда вашу почту, имя или идентификатор аккаунта. Код действует десять минут и один раз; связь удаляется вместе с аккаунтом.

Что мы НЕ собираем

• Ваши книги и их текст никогда не загружаются, кроме частей, нужных функциям выше: текста, который вы заказали озвучить, главы или страницы комикса, которую вы переводите, названия, автора и отрывка первой страницы для умных жанров, а также строк, описаний и аудио дублей для AI-инструментов Studio. Они уходят на наш сервер и — всё, кроме AI-озвучки, — дальше в Google Gemini.
• Ни контактов, ни точной геолокации, ни данных звонков. Единственные данные о местоположении — приблизительное местоположение, которое рекламный SDK выводит из вашего IP-адреса (см. «Реклама»).
• Микрофон не используется вне суфлёра Studio, и ни одна запись не загружается, пока вы сами не включите AI-проверку дублей.
• Пометки, заметки, чувства и отзывы нигде не публикуются и никому не показываются. Они остаются в файле книги на вашем устройстве; единственная копия, которая его покидает, — ваша личная резервная копия.
• Никаких записей о том, что вы просматривали в браузере библиотек Маркета.

Удаление данных и что остаётся

Удалите аккаунт и все данные сами в приложении: Профиль → Данные и память → Удалить аккаунт (сразу; приложение затем остаётся офлайн, пока вы не войдёте снова или не создадите новый анонимный аккаунт). Подробности, что сохраняется, и запрос по e-mail: delete-account.html. Запросы на ixstudiosupport@gmail.com выполняются в течение 30 дней.

После удаления аккаунта мы сохраняем только: отчёты о неполадках без номера аккаунта; счётчики загрузок книг Маркета без номера аккаунта; необратимый хеш устройства, чтобы то же устройство не получило награду за приглашение повторно (защита от злоупотреблений); и записи о покупках (токен Google Play, номер заказа и товар), больше не связанные ни с каким аккаунтом, — чтобы одна и та же покупка не была засчитана дважды. Всё остальное — копия, профиль, комментарии, лайки, блокировки, жалобы, подарки S Coin, которые вы сделали или получили, с их сообщениями (сделанный вами подарок удаляется и у автора), заказы озвучки и их файлы, прогресс приглашений, сообщения в поддержку, сигналы использования — удаляется.

Подпись под петицией не входит ни в один аккаунт, поэтому удаление аккаунта её не убирает. Чтобы убрать подпись, напишите нам с того адреса, которым вы подписались; она удаляется в течение 30 дней.

При удалении аккаунта этот телефон стирает монеты, время Premium, купленные за монеты темы, функции и аренду на 7 дней, настройки и статистику; ваши книги — импортированные, найденные в вашем хранилище и подготовленные озвученные книги — вместе с пометками и прогрессом чтения остаются на телефоне, если вы не отметите их удаление.

Удаление приложения стирает все локальные данные на устройстве, но не удаляет облачный аккаунт. Silent Book просит Android не включать его в системное резервное копирование и перенос между телефонами, поэтому система не хранит копию вашей библиотеки, монет или настроек в Google Диске. Вне телефона мы храним только то, что перечислено выше в этой политике.
